Shivang Tripathi hails from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.He is currently pursuing PhD in Law from Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi.He graduated with overall academic distinction from Chanakya National Law University, Patna in 2016 securing a gold medal in Intellectual Property Rights Laws and Late Justice Harilal Agarwal Memorial Award of excellence in academics. After graduating, he practised law before the Allahabad High Court for a span of 4 years focussing majorly on criminal litigation. Subsequently, he completed his post graduation in LL. M specialising in IPR in 2021 and decided to pursue PhD in Law.He is majorly interested in legal and socio-legal research, as a part of which, he has several publications to his credit wherein he has written about myriad kinds of issues such as "Bail Jurisprudence in India", " Rape on false pretext of marriage", "Digital Democracy post-pandemic", " Right to Education", "Copyright vs Copyleft" etc. He is skilled in Legal Writing, Litigation, Intellectual Property and Legal Research. His thesis aims at venturing into the scope and domain of freedom of expression in India's contemporary rights discourse.
