As a target evaluator I contribute towards Biosecurity and Food Safety at our borders. Being warranted under the Biosecurity Act 1993, Agricultural and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 and the Food Act 2014 I have a comprehensive understanding of the Biosecurity operational environment and knowledge of the food clearance processes in NZ. I use my specialist knowledge to screen import documentation, apply operational intelligence, and work with internal and external stakeholders. This along with my previous job in quality control has cemented my skills in risk assessment, situational analysis and conflict resolution as well as comprehension of legislation and regulatory documentation. I am a social person and thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team. Making connections, speaking to people in general comes easily to me. That is how I tend to learn most things about the way things work within organisations and how to best approach the working environment. With my experience in my different roles and my studies I have a unique, well rounded, broad spectrum of knowledge and skillset essential in a wide range of careers and industries.
