Dr Shivani Pasricha demonstrates an outstanding talent and aptitude for interdisciplinary research. She has a history of producing high quality research spanning a wide range of subject matter and research strategies. Her scientific track record reflects the skill set she has developed throughout her training. Shivani currently leads a team that uses molecular and genomic approaches to improve the detection, prevention, and surveillance of STIs. She holds an honorary position at Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory and sits on the executive committee of the AMR Hub, world-first partnership between industry, researchers and end users to transform antimicrobial resistance and stewardship. Shivani has a natural and instinctive leadership style. She has a can-do personality, is self-motivated and responds to responsibility seriously and effectively. She has a strong track record in supervision, having supervised several PhD and honours students to completion and has presented original research at international and national meetings.
