I am passionate about heritage and its role in shaping the character and context of past and present communities. As an Assistant Project Manager at CANY, I work with a team of experts to provide architectural and engineering solutions for historic buildings and structures in New York City. I am also a Master of Science candidate in Historic Preservation and Conservation at Columbia University. My degree program has exposed me to the theoretical and practical aspects of preserving, restoring, and adapting historic sites and materials, as well as the social, cultural, and environmental implications of heritage conservation. I have gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant and a Supervising Intern at Woodlawn Cemetery and Conservancy, where I contributed to various projects related to the documentation, assessment, and management of the historic cemetery and its landscape. My goal is to make a positive impact on the field of historic preservation and conservation, and to think beyond the conventional approaches of architecture to deal with the challenges and opportunities of the built environment.
