My role involved proofreading academic manuscripts by authors from countries that speak English as a second language (ESL), such as China, Japan, and Korea, and ensuring that they adhered to the formatting guidelines issued by their target journal. In addition, I provided feedback and inputs to improve the overall flow of the manuscript. I was recognized as an expert editor in March 2023, meaning that my work was consistently of high quality (indicated through a high average Quality Index (>= 3.6/4.0) and low complaint rate (<2%)) and that I did not compromise on deadline conformance. In addition, it indicates that I maintained a higher-than-average level of productivity (typically more than 60,000 words a month), with most of the jobs I worked on undergoing minimal internal checks before being delivered to the client.

Performed biocuration of research articles for the project titled 'Bio curation of research findings about the symptoms and pathophysiology of COVID-19', as a volunteer intern. This project was carried out as part of a larger collaborative effort between Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC), Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), BdataA, and Shodhaka Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., to build a one-stop database "Covidkosha" (http://covidkosha.org/) for information regarding all aspects of COVID-19, under the guidance of Dr Kshitish K Acharya.

* Worked at the Protein Engineering and Diversity laboratory, under the R&D unit.*Was responsible for sample preparation for NGS techniques using methods such as tagmentation.* Utilised standard molecular biology techniques such as agarose gel electrophoresis to visualise the results of different types of PCR and documented them using GelDoc.* Performed SDS PAGE and documented the results.* Worked on inducing novel mutations using a mechanised system.

*Worked at the Force Microscopy Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering* Learnt to operate a Raman Spectroscope and Scanning Electron Microscope, and also learnt their working principles.* Measured the Raman spectra of some commonly used household oils such as coconut and olive oils under normal and frozen conditions and noted the differences between them.* Captured the SEM images of different parts of plants such as the leaves and the flowers under different magnifications.
