Maliban Group (http://malibangroup.com) is the pioneer biscuit manufacturer of Sri Lanka which is diversified into Biscuit Exports, Milk and Dairy, Plantations, Agriculture & Healthcare and many other investments.I am the Group Head of IT for Maliban Group of companies including all above sectors. I am representing Greater Management Team (GMT) of Maliban Group comprises 13 top level individuals who are supposed to be in Executive Committee of Maliban Group. Maliban Digital Landscape’s key highlights which I and my team has delivered so far;• SAP is the key ERP system for Maliban Biscuit, Milk and Agri. “SAP on Azure” was a great success by migrating SAP and HANA DB including production, QA, and Development servers to Azure. This has been included Broadcasting Server, Email Relays and other miscellanies tools to make sure the entire setup of SAP migrated to Azure with Zero On-Prem infrastructure.• Microsoft 365 implementation for Maliban group of companies. This was a good use case where Maliban Group removed Zimbra On-Prem server after 22 years and believedon M365 Cloud Platform on year 2022.• Service Desk (OS Ticket) was implemented with Internal team support and hosted at Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.• Aruba Wi-Fi Cloud Central was implemented in all officers and Internal team is taking care of all Wi-Fi controls from one single location. • Sales Force Automation (SFA) solution is rolling out with highest number of distributors, Area Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Supervisors and Company & Distributor Sales Reps with the License quantity of 1035 which includes Biscuit, Milk and Agri Products comprises of 200 SKUs. As a Group Head of IT of Maliban, I’m currently managing a team of 16 members including 3Assistant Managers and 01 Group Manager with the coverage of Application Support, Infrastructure Support, Security and Compliance, Intelligent Data Support and Automation Support individuals.

Some of the major strategic moves are;• In today’s dynamic environment, cyber security has become vital for organizations that collect and store a wide range of business and confidential data transmit to different applications across networks. All Sunshine group information assets are protected through a security process that includes defensive mechanisms, corporate policies, security awareness, and proactive monitoring. Our adaption to world class security solutions (Palo-Alto Cloud Firewall, Acunetix etc..) have enabled us to be one step ahead of the newest internal and external threats.• Currently rolling out Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for Watawala Tea and Sunshine Healthcare sections to automate Order processing and Bank reconciliation using UI Path.• Microsoft Power Apps based on PaaS has implemented for Sunshine Heathcare Promotional Expenses and Sunshine Group Expense Management• Microsoft O365 implementation within the group.• Implemented multiple ERP’s on Cloud for Group Companies such as IFS ERP for Healthcare, SAP B1 for Dairy & SAGE 300 for FMCG businesses.• Group Companies are fully powered using Microsoft Azure & Oracle Clouds platforms to achieve performance, elasticity, technology advantage & cost advantage in the long run. • Migrated Watawala Tea Ceylon business applications suite to Oracle IaaS Cloud• Currently rolling out Business Intelligent (BI) & Analytics projects for group companies using Microsoft Power BI • Integrated Point of Sale (PoS) solution implementation for Modernized Pharmacy chain in Sunshine Group (Healthgurad) and Gift Boutiques in Tea business.• Multiple Sales Force Automation (SFA) solution have rolled-out to Healthcare & FMCG companies • Implementing SaaS based HCM solution for the group to bring more synergy, Interactivity & near real-time performance evaluation.

(Direct reporting to Group Head of IT)- Migrated Watawala Tea Ceylon business applications suite to Oracle IaaS Cloud- Implemented an ERP (SAGE 300) on Cloud for Watawala Tea for FMCG business.

Divisions of IT Department are: IT Projects, IT Network/ISP & Information Security, Data Center & IT Support. I have managed the following projects within my 06 years of experience at Sunshine Tea Private Limited.• Successfully implemented and managed the ERP (INFOR SYTELINE).• Overall IT infrastructure leader with maintaining over 100 of workstations and IT equipment in three physical locations• Maintaining and troubleshooting the data center with three physical servers• Successfully implemented the CCTV project with fifty two Cameras and six DVRs.• Handling all the communication paths (mobile / hosted land lines / VPNs / ILLs / hosted bridges)• Worked as a project champion for a new building construction –IT related (Data Center Construction / Network building for all three floors / Communication establishment with other locations etc..)• Reconstructed the backup plan with CA-ARCSERV in a proper condition

Since I was working as Trainee Intern employee, I created myself as a first opportunity creator in my professional ladder. I learnt lot of administration work which is used for day today work in an office environment.
