Customer Lobby was acquired by EverCommerce in 2017.I managed the entire Engineering organization for Customer Lobby. Built a team of 14 engineers across 4 teams in 2 countries (US and India). Built scalable architectures and solutions on a limited budget and supported the growth of the company to profitability.Played a dual role of VP of Engineering and Head of Product until our acquisition in 2017, after which I decided to focus my efforts on improving the productivity and efficiency of the engineering team. In my first year at Customer Lobby, I architected and refactored the entire product code-base from Zend PHP to Ruby on Rails. This was instrumental in scaling our product at a faster rate, we moved from supporting 500 customers on our platform to 4000 customers today.Recruited and trained a team of 5 engineers based out of our US office.

I was the 3rd developer at Catalog Choice. Catalog Choice was acquired by TrustedID which was later acquired by Equifax.I developed of a custom Shopping Cart module. Rewrote the communication platform.

Was employee number #3 at 500Friends, which was acquired by Merkle.I set up the entire backend architecture for the company and worked on product development and implementation, using Ruby on Rails. I wore several hats, doing a large chunk of the backend coding, along with implementing a lot of the front-end design. The front end work was especially challenging here to get Javascript to behave correctly and consistently in all browsers especially while dealing with 3rd party API's. I also worked on performance tuning of the Rails Application. I also developed applications on Facebook, and Twitter using the respective API's.

As Lead Developer of Carsala, I was solely responsible for architecting the product, as well as implementing all of it. I set up the infrastructure, and ensured that everything functioned smoothly. I worked on all parts of the web development stack, doing the front end as well as backend coding of the website. I also contributed my ideas to the product roadmap. Some of the interesting projects I worked on are a portal where users can view the cars they selected for negotiation, a tool for generating free reports based on data that Carsala collected about cars. I also helped with improving the SEO rating of the website.Currently I advise Carsala on technology matters and maintain the website, I try to add improvements to the technology whenever possible.

* Co-ordinating the duties and activities of a team of 4 developers. * Setup of Development and Production environments in Ubuntu 8.04, setting up of LAMP stack, subversion repository. * Maintenance of The Production and Development Servers, scripting using Ruby for System Administration. * Contributed Actively to the conceptualization and development of the website. * Designed the Database Model, Controller Logic, to follow the MVC paradigm used by CakePHP, also oversaw wire-framing of the website. * Wrote a custom wrapper in PHP for the STOMP Protocol. * Coded an uploader in Ruby which uploaded files to Amazon S3 cloud storage, worked with Scribd Api to leverage the use of iPaper. * Co-developed an innovative drag-drop mechanism using jquery, jquery-ui and Ajax.

Involved in the full life cycle of Business Object reporting, creation of complex WEBI and Full Client reports, developed a customized web front end using JSP and Business Objects SDK for auditing purposes. Gained insight into the roles of a business and technical analyst, built up technical and interpersonal skills by working in a team of 4 people which implemented a cluster for the production environment for Business Objects Servers. Developed in C# for smart phones and provided the end user with details such as churn, revenue, subscriber base, which had features such as charts, an offline database and facilities for synchronizing with a database using web services.
