As a Software Test Staff Engineer, I am part of Dell Software Group R&D services lab in India. I have been working on predominantly a combination of QA testing and Automation in day to day life. I am also supporting the regression and effectively communicating across different geographical location.Project: EqualLogic SAN Storage product, mainly based on iSCSI based Storage Protocol.My Role: Working on iSCSI protocol Testing and Automation (Using Quake Framework)Responsibilities:-==============● Exposed to Enterprise SAN (iSCSI) Storage Networking● Deep understating of EqualLogic product architecture, Firmware, IOs flow and iSCSI layer understanding ● iSCSI session understanding for Discovery and Normal Session through analyzing Trace● Steep Knowledge of testing methodology and software● Use the WIRESHARK for data flow and deep understanding of iSCSI PDU● And also the Application Layer understanding of SCSI CDBs● Complete end to end understanding of processor and shared resources during IO flow● Participating in different release of Automated Regression● Writing the new Script for any test gaps or found defect in Regression● Automation side, to write the script for long running test, maximum utilization of Array and find out the unhealthy array instead of User goes and verify same which consumes lots of time, It also reruns those block which got fail because of Unhealthy array issues.● Working on Bug Fixes in script if any issues found as most likely below:a. Timeout Issueb. IO workload issue, kind of IO failurec. Modify the Script if PSAs are not healthy and choose another PSA from the PoolsAlso Filing the Disclosure/Patent/whitepaper/poc. And also having a exposure on Hybrid storage Target which has heterogeneous collections of Disk (SAS, SATA, SSD) with different sector size(512 & 4k).

Project: R6 Oracle FS System and Sustenance Testing for Previous ReleaseRole: Work on Oracle FS System unified storage, comprises NAS/SAN storage product. Worked on various technologies FC and iSCSI. Responsible for testing storage product with host based third party applications. Tested third party replication and mirroring. Work on windows failover clustering at different personalities. I am working parallel on Performance testing during Error Injection (FOFB, PODR, COD and WS).Tools used : Bug DB, HP QC, Oracle FS Manager, Oracle FS SimulatorDescription: Oracle FS System is designed for a Unified Storage solution based on different personality’s architecture which comprises of two Storage Controllers in one Box, consists three SAS card. The R6 AxNP provides a sustainable platform to support moving the product to future hardware platforms as new technology becomes available. The AxNP architecture components run on x-86 hardware using Oracle Linux OS. Role & Responsibilities: ================== Systems & Functional Testing of “Pillar Data Storage” (SAN/NAS). SAN & NAS Protocols testing like FCP, iSCSI, FCIP, FCoE, NFS,CIFS. Performed Smoke, Regression and Performance testing for Pillar Storage. Third Party Application Testing with PillarData System Product. Worked on Data Protection technologies like NDMP & Replication.Zone Activation and discovery part when some changes occurs in topology Performed NDU and DU on Axiom along with using Clone functionality Manual & automated testing of GUI, CLI interface and installed layered drivers on various platforms for the turns of product. Creation and modification of Outline, High level Use Cases, Test Goals/Expectation and Test Cases.
