Senior position with responsibilities split between the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC) and the Drug Repurposing team. Continued to lead the Recruitment and Retention Planning resource line within the RIC. Led the Financial Incentives Research Effort within the RIC, including study design and implementation, data collection and analysis, and manuscript development and submission for publication (in progress). Trained 4 new RIC project managers. Served as project manager for 2 studies on the Drug Repurposing team. Responsibilities for first study included study team management and meeting coordination, recruitment methods management, regulatory submission management, and database management. Responsibilities for the second study included project development and design, data analysis and interpretation, identification of and application to funding opportunities, clinical trial design and development, and management of internal teams and external partnerships.

Multifaceted, research-focused position within the Recruitment Innovation Center (RIC), a part of the Trial Innovation Network (TIN). Consulted with single and multi-site clinical trial investigators and study teams to plan for and/or improve recruitment and retention. Provided targeted, customized recommendations for all studies. Led the Recruitment and Retention Planning resource line, which provides plans for grant submissions and active studies. Served as project manager for RIC scientific research studies and VICTR scientific research studies focusing on drug repurposing (including study design and development, data collection, and analysis).

Postdoctoral research in a longitudinal, observational, human cohort of participants with mild to moderate dementia and non-demented controls. Managed the successful submission of an NIA P20 federal grant application, which resulted in securing Vanderbilt's first Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) title. Performed cognitive testing and interviews for the active clinical trial the center was a part of. Proposed and developed novel PET imaging techniques to incorporate into the longitudinal study. Managed 3-12 coordinators in updating the potential participant database (1252 records). Developed process for implementation of ResearchMatch as a tool for recruitment.

During my graduate education, I studied the protein tau in the context of Alzheimer's disease and traumatic brain injury. I trained in a variety of wet-lab/bench techniques including western blotting, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence staining and imaging, cell culture techniques, DNA transformation and cloning, and in-vitro translation assays. My in vivo animal work included breeding of transgenic mouse lines and maintenance of the colony, small animal surgeries (controlled cortical impact model of TBI, stereotactic injections of dye and AAV into mouse brains, and cranial window implantation), and tissue collection (including brain dissection and heart tissue collection). I presented multiple posters and talks at local, national, and international symposia on my work. I also published multiple peer reviewed articles.

Research position in an Alzheimer's disease-focused, preclinical/translational research lab. Helped design and led pilot projects that resulted in 2 federal grants being awarded to the lab (NIH, DoD). Presented data at multiple local, national, and international conferences and published 1 manuscript. Acted as lab manager for the final year, with responsibilities including laboratory logistics and training new lab members.
