Samantha is the founder and creative director at Sapia Creative.Outside this role, she is an entrepreneur, creative, abstract artist and ADHD’er as well as an autistic ally and advocate.She has scaled and sold several businesses and is a visionary and a creator of businesses built on the core value pillars of quality, purpose, passion and people.She is a entrepreneur who fell into the world of business when as a 23 year old, she wanted to buy her first property and was knocked back by the big 4 banks who stated she needed an additional income [insert fire in belly] and so began a humble and grassroots business journey. Working as a full-time clinical dietitian through the week - weekends found her selling her wares at markets around Brisbane. Many early mornings and key lessons learned, her market days were foundational in her business journey.In 2008, she took the plunge from her incredibly stable, predictable and comfortable job into the world of events (having had minimal experience in the industry) and soon after had a shipment of furniture arrive into Australia and the start of furniture hire company, Epic Empire. The company grew, as did its staff, warehousing, transport and logistics.Fast forward 8 years, she sold Epic and declared to her new husband that she was going to take their life savings and start a rocking chair company. Hobbe is a multi-million dollar company and Australia's original and #1 rocking chair company with their signature rocking chairs coveted by parents around Australia and across the globe (including a royal nursery). A creative drive led Samantha down the path of original art, which she turned into a successful commercial enterprise in 2019.In 2021, Samantha made a return to the world of events and co-founded Sapia Creative which is a creative concierge service that focuses on luxury event curation. With a global footprint and a bespoke approach, Sapia's focus is about bringing the attention back to the intrinsic value of the human connection through highly elevated events, interactive experiences and luxury curated gifts.
