Coordinated and assisted with the refit of a of a new cinema room.

Build - Joined as the build AVIT Officer in the Feadship De Vries Makkum shipyard responsible for monitoring and coordinating all electronic installations. Was responsible for the quality control of all electronic installations and commissioning. Lead the user interface designs and deployment. Managed all AVIT snag and warranty items, created a yacht maintenance plan and conducted crew training.Refit – Lead the design of a new Crestron NVX distributions system, a custom high tech security system and extensive AV, IT and lighting refits.Operations - Was responsible for the maintenance of all onboard electronics. Lead party set ups with full PA and disco systems for live performances. Conducted engineering watchkeeper duties and assisted all departments, where possible.

Focused on a combination of executive search, retained and contingent recruitment for banks and asset managers in Europe. Due to a combination of poor market conditions and the non utilisation of skills, credentials and out-of-work interests decided on continuing a long term career in technology in the yacht industry.

Formed part of the engineering team responsible for the day-to-day safety checks and maintenance of a fleet of luxury motor yachts and sail yachts.Yachts ranged in age and size from 30 foot to 80 foot.Maintenance and installation work included electrical infrastructure and onboard electronics as well as training charter guests with their operations.

Yacht Operations - Installed, upgraded and maintained the latest AV/IT systems. Completely rebuilt and rewired entire electronics control room including identifying, replacing and labelling well over a 1000 cables ship wide while problem solving AV, networks, satellite systems, PABX systems, CCTV, etc. issues and upgrading technology. Conducted maintenance of the yacht including assisting the engineering team.Yacht Refit - Lead the AV/IT technology upgrades in a refit when dry-docked in Croatia including installing a new VSAT satellite system and new AV equipment. Liaised and worked with the yard, specialist contractors and ship management project coordinators. Yacht Watchkeeping - Took regular engine room and bridge watch duties and managed crew in dock and anchor manoeuvres.
