*Estimation:- Estimating experience in public & private sector projects in heavy civil construction areas like earthwork, road construction, culvert replacement, water & sewer lines, site development, & underground utility work.- Develop complete estimates for projects from receipt of bid package through final bid review, including scope determination, quantity take-offs, estimate organization, pricing, risk, productivity & constructability analysis.- Analyze & review Requests for Proposals (RFP), drawings, specs, addenda, and all other bid / contractdocuments to determine the scope of work & the contents of the estimate.- Identify subcontractors & suppliers, solicit quotes, and prepare comparison sheets for tenders & proposals.- Develop & issue RFQ / RFP packages to sub-trades & vendors to obtain competitive pricing, and select the best trade contractor pricing upon comprehensive review, analysis, and evaluation.- Prepare final estimate summaries of assigned scope & verify estimate completeness and accuracy using HCSS - Heavy Bid Software before bid review sessions with the company’s President.- Estimating experience in projects ranging from $100,000 to $3,000,000 in value.*Project Management:- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders.- Track production using HCSS - Heavy Job Software through various logs including time & quantities and actual versus budget calculations, including an analysis of the reason for variance.- Support the Quality Control functions/activities by inspections & reviewing QC requirements & ensured that the QC documentation for the project including daily work reports, meets the contractual requirements.- Oversee Quality Assurance & Quality Control during & after construction to verify compliance & standards.- Worked on FHWA & ODOT Projects ranging from $300,000 to $6,500,000 in value.
