In the coming November, Shohan Ahmed will celebrate 6 years of his active presence in the aviation industry. When he joined in the core inventory distribution department of Biman, he found the airline had already engaged with 3 different Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) and a Passenger Service System (PSS)- using of which the airline used to make staggering over 95% of its total sales. Since then Shohan Ahmed has been engaged in ensuring the integrity of the network through means not limited to contract negotiation, billing reconciliation and ethical reservation. While performing the role as a Revenue Integrity (RI) Analyst, he has been gathering a comprehensive set of skills on- airline inventory distribution network strategy, PSS/GDS functionalities in association with the contract: negotiation & implementation and system user policy with compliance. Using the skill and the set of roles assigned, Shohan Ahmed has already significantly contributed in the achievement of Biman's latest reservation policy and its compliance, addition/removal of multiple PSS/GDS functionalities to enhance system's performance at a reduced cost, revision of old-fashioned contracts to make it more up-to-date and airline's friendly and a network of inventory distribution where contribution of costly indirect channels are now less than 90%.Before joining Biman, Shohan Ahmed worked in multiple sectors including e-commerce where his role as a market analyst of the biggest online marketplace of Bangladesh set the tone for his selection and immediate contribution in the robust network based inventory distribution platform of the largest carrier of Bangladesh. Latest in his experience, he had involved in the coordination of post-hajj flight operation placed in Jeddah, KSA.Shohan completed his graduation in Finance & Accounting from North South University in the year 2012 with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude. He has also earned an specialized MBA in Aviation Operation Management from BSMRAAU with a cgpa of 3.96 in a scale of 04 in the year 2024. Shohan is slow at the start of a proceeding but he remains steady. With this approach, as an added responsibility, he is now the sole coordinator of all the non-schedule special and charter flight that Biman undertakes to perform.Shohan believes that one single thing that may change the whole World is 'Bicycle'.
