I have been working as an Interior Designer/Project Manager for 18 yrs in NYC, Eastern Long Island,Tri-State area and Miami Florida at the high end of the market with 80% custom elements.My area of specialty is Fabrics/Textiles, Luxury Bedding,Upholstery, and Exquisite Wallcoverings for Residential & Commercial Spaces.I have been in Furniture Sales and Design for several years and attend the major interior and furniture markets in the USA and Europe.I have several great connections with product designers.I design,embroider and print fabrics that are made into draperies, pillows,upholstery and other textiles which makes room decor and co-ordination super easy.I have been a restaurateur/partner in NYC for 7 yrs as a result of my many restaurant clients, so I know the hospitality market very well.I am licensed in Real Estate in New York and New Jersey States with broker, developer and builder contacts. I am very familiar with the construction process residential & commercial sales. I currently work with Callaway Henderson Sotheby's in Lambertville NJ.As an Interior project manager,I am an excellent liaison and communicator between the client and often many subcontractorsI am particularly good at arbitration, negotiations and closing deals.As a responsible purse string holder, I am proficient at adhering to the house budget (costs to the company) but also since I understand the whole construction process, I am practical at curtailing overruns, by means of suggesting product alternatives to the client or labor saving change orders.After graduation in Design and Apparel Manufacturing, I was responsible for product R&D,sourcing,fabrics and accessories with overseas companies in the days of fax and snail mail, so everything had to be specified exactly for ease of translation and international logistics.As a sample/prototype designer I was responsible for setting up the production assembly line for mass production and inserting quality control points. So I know a thing or two about factories and the limitations of customizing.
