The aim of this unit was to provide students an understanding of the role of the civil engineer within a major project, including the various technical activities undertaken, overall project management, and an understanding of the community's expectations. In this unit the principles learnt in the introductory unit of engineering mechanics will be developed to enhance your understanding of the methods of analysis of statically determinate and indeterminate structures and their response to loads.
