•Perform a series of technical tasks which included 12 Lead EKG, phlebotomy, assessing patients vitals, assistance with sterile and non-sterile procedures with physicians (listed below), assist with resuscitation/CPR efforts during a code, fixing and replacing telemetry leads for heart rhythm/arrhythmia monitoring while on the unit and during transport. •Completed other tasks such as transporting blood/fluid samples to respective laboratories for analysis, maintaining/stocking orthopedic, procedure equipment carts and trauma cabinets for future procedures, •Aided physicians in set up for sterile/non-sterile procedures which include but is not limited to thoracostomies, paracentesis, intubation, central line insertion, rapid blood transfusion, lumbar puncture, active rewarming with the Bair Hugger , collected ordered blood, stool and urine specimens, and assisted with admits and transfers. •As a trauma technician, responsibilities included being the primary technician performing chest compressions during codes, accessing necessary equipment for managing the trauma, assisting the physician during the trauma with tasks such as chest tube insertion, intubation, assistance inserting a Blakemore tube for uncontrolled bleeding due to ruptured varicies, implantation of an external pacemaker, among other code and trauma related situations. •Provided comfort measures, toileting assistance, personal hygiene, mobility and safety interventions for patients as well as transport to other units when admitted to the hospital for further evaluation. •Responsible for cross-coverage to the Crisis Intervention Unit to monitor and observe psychiatric patients present on the unit. This included Q15 status and environmental checks, Q4 vitals assessments, toileting assistance, assistance with restraints, urine sample collection, and transport to the in-house psychiatric unit if admitted for further evaluation.

•Perform ultrasound IV’s for critically ill patients using the SonoSite ultrasound device for difficult access patients who are in need of phlebotomy, IV medications and IV contrast for CT scans.
