With almost 30 years of experience in the events and digital media industry, I am passionate about bridging cross-sector collaboration and driving Scotland's digital transformation agenda as the Delivery and Strategic Engagement Lead at Futurescot.Futurescot is a leading platform for news, analysis, and events on Scotland's digital and public sector innovation. In my role, I work with a diverse range of stakeholders, from government and academia to business and civil society, to deliver impactful and engaging events, publications, and online communications that showcase the best practices and opportunities in the digital economy. I leverage my skills in marketing communications, high performance, and communication to create and execute effective strategies that align with the organization's vision and mission. I also draw on my previous experience as the Business Lead at EVENTIT Scotland and the Operations Manager at EventsBase, where I managed and delivered multiple live and virtual events, online comms, and publications for the events and festivals industry in Scotland. I assisted the founder of Holyrood Communications in setting up, what was then, a well reputed thought leadership communication platform between business and the public sector, while building a growing network within these sectors in Scotland. I was responsible for launching Holyrood Conferences and Events and managed over 600 events during my tenure.. We successfully bid to become a preferred provider of event services to the Scottish Government and Agencies.I am always eager to learn new skills and network with professionals from different sectors and backgrounds, as demonstrated by my certifications from LinkedIn on the Six Morning Habits of High Performers, Starting a Memorable Conversation, and Professional Networking.
