My first job was waiting tables in the village café, I then transitioned to the local pub, and by the age of 17 I was working at central Glasgow hotel. I loved the work so much that I went to train at the Scottish Hotel School at the University of Strathclyde.My passion for hospitality, especially hotels, has just kept growing over the years – I love this industry and the people in it! I now have the privilege of helping hospitality businesses optimise the way they work, improve their customers’ experience and become more successful. For more than 15 years, I’ve been providing strategic board-level advice to independent hotels, small to medium size groups, and global brands with my company, Cogent Blue.I regularly attend and contribute to industry events as a member of the commercial hotel sector community.
