• Administers and scores a wide range of neuropsychological and psychological tests. • Administers standard neuropsychological measures of intelligence, memory, attention, language, visuospatial, and executive functioning. This includes administering tests such as the WAIS-IV, WMS-IV, CVLT-II, Boston Naming Test, Trail Making Test, and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. • Familiarity and experience with personality tests including the MMPI-2 and PAI. • Tests neuropsychological functioning of complicated patients who present with psychiatric conditions (e.g., PTSD, depression, and substance abuse), neurological illness or injury (e.g., traumatic brain injury, dementia), and other medical conditions. • Interaction with patients utilizing a high level of clinical sensitivity, interpersonal skills, and clinical judgment. • Uses clinical judgment to decide if symptoms of psychopathology or other factors are interfering with the ability to meaningfully measure cognitive functioning. • Tests in standardized fashion but in a manner that elicits maximum patient cooperation and performance. • Schedules patients, responds to consults as directed by the neuropsychologist, and maintains a database for quality improvement purposes. • Other miscellaneous duties include attending staff meetings, patient care meetings as appropriate, and committee meetings as assigned. • Participates in the various in-service continuing education programs sponsored by the Mental Health service, the Medical Center, and affiliated institutions. • Document findings in CPRS (VA medical record) in a timely way according the VAPSHCS (VA Puget Sound Health Care System) and MHS (Mental Health Services) policies.

• Collects and record data from subject interviews (by phone and in person) • Patient recruitment, enrollment, and maintenance in multiple mental health studies involving schizophrenia, depression, bipolar, and post traumatic stress disorder.• Gathers, records, organizes, transcribes and verifies accuracy of research study data using Excel and Word• Answers participants’ questions regarding study protocol and solves problems or complications reported by subjects• Review and explain consent forms; questionnaires• Phlebotomy• Submission of IRB documentation for study approval, modifications and continuing reviews• Maintains confidentiality of subject records while using VA Vista and VA CPRS systems
