Focusing on providing AI training and resources for workplace development

As an Integrated Solutions Consultant, I leverage my extensive experience in technology and instructional design to enhance organizational development. I specialize in creating technology-driven learning solutions and implementing advanced systems to optimize business operations. My focus is on using innovative tech to drive growth, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.Currently my clients projects range from consulting around AI in educational technology, to developing a streamlined technology portfolio for a small business, to updating the digital identity of an engineering firm.

I support faculty and staff in using a varied portfolio of technologies ranging from learning management systems, to generative AI, to hybrid classroom technologies. This position involves a high level of customer service as well as project management skills when collaborating with end-users and subject matter experts to determine their technology needs before providing direction, training, and documentation. In order to meet end-user needs, this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and knowledge transfer to a wide audience. This often requires: editing video, designing interactive eLearnings in Articulate Rise, utilizing graphic design skills, and high levels of proficiency in technical writing.In this position I have been accountable for developing learning experiences that follow objectives-based best practices of instructional design. I have developed and led remote and in-person instructor-led training sessions for staff, faculty, and students. I have also designed asynchronous training and job support materials such as interactive eLearnings, quick reference guides, video scripts, and Sharepoint sites.My most recent focus in this role has largely been around exploring the generative AI and LLM landscape to help communicate policy for safe use, create documentation for internal processes, and provide training on prompt engineering and developing custom GPTs to apply to varied use cases.

In this consultant position, my duties have included: Online curriculum development, designing interactive learning content, organizing and monitoring the Learning Management System, designing and analyzing course evaluations, producing learning videos, designing technology tutorials, presenting on technology topics to educators, assisting with outreach/marketing efforts, and assisting with the Wordpress website.

As a part time lecturer at UMass Dartmouth I taught introductory English courses (ENL 101), as well as Business Communications, Technical Communications, and Public Relations. My duties included: designing and implementing lesson plans, integrating educational technology into student learning, developing assessments, and evaluating student work. I also developed course content for both online and in-person learning such as videos, case studies, and PowerPoint/Prezi lectures.

I worked with UniFirst Subject Matter Experts, such as Business Analysts, to design both eLearning and instructor-led training for the rollout of a business solutions software. This position required the ability to understand the complexities of a new software, learn the nuances of various employee roles, and design an efficient training curriculum to ensure a variety of employee roles were prepared to implement the new software.Part of training development meant designing asynchronous eLearning elements via Articulate 360, facilitator guides for in-person training sessions, and job aids such as a digital glossary. In addition to working with business analysts to understand the product's impact on the organization, I shadowed employees and participated in UAT and the knowledge development processes.Our team utilized Agile methods to work with a remote, geographically diverse team, largely utilizing Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Using Articulate Storyline I created eLearnign content for online courses based off of faculty lectures. I generated Blackboard-ready SCORM files for a variety higher-education course topics through the duration of this contract. Part of the process also included editing audio lectures using Audacity, and syncing them to interactive module slides.

I oversaw the LMS integration on campus, provided technology training workshops for faculty, researched emerging ed-tech tools, assisted faculty with integrating technology into the classroom, provided training to students on various tech tools, maintained an inventory of technology (iPads, iClicker, Swivl, etc.), designed PDF and video tutorials for both students and faculty, and made resources accessible based on ADA compliance.

Duties of this position included; overseeing the roll out of a new 1-to-1 laptop program for high school students, coordinating with IT to resolve teacher and student technology issues, assisting students with using various educational programs, creating video and PDF tutorials for both teachers and students, conducting professional development sessions on classroom technology topics, overseeing a hot spot program for students without wi-fi at home, coordinating with school administration to enforce disciplinary measures for misused technology, utilizing the Student Information System (Aspen) to query reports and track student data, and assisting with LMS (Microsoft Teams) integration in the classroom.

In this role I developed online courses for educators on Writing Across Subjects (K-12) and Cultural Competency (K-12). These robust courses included the full development of curriculum, supported by interactive presentations, video samples, textbook and article readings, and measures for evaluation.

As a public relations assistant for a congressional campaign I was primarily responsible for coordinating meetings with the press, fielding media inquiries, planning candidate appearances, and representing the candidate at events he could not attend.

During my time at Massasoit Community College I taught the freshman English course, ENL 102. In this position I was responsible for; preparing and executing lesson plans, assessing student grades, and meeting with students to provide educational support.
