Practice Manager Of Radiation Oncology
Current➤ Overseeing day-to-day activities of all clinic-based support staff including medical secretaries and clinic service reps.➤ Establishing schedules, task assignments, and allocations for staff, space, and equipment to meet department needs.➤ Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support operations and programs for radiation oncology services.➤ Ensuring effective scheduling of clinic and treatment visits for infusion, radiation oncology, and ancillary tests.➤ Coordinating effective patient flow for patient triaging and the most efficient utilization of space and physician time.➤ Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and recommending disciplinary and personnel actions for practice staff.➤ Developing, implementing, and providing educational opportunities including in-services to departmental/in-house staff.➤ Assisting in the development and management of operating and capital budget for the clinic and monitoring expenses.➤ Compiling and monitoring metrics and statistical data for physician practice to measure operational performance.➤ Reviewing reports to monitor trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement recommended changes/improvements.➤ Establishing reimbursement procedures while ensuring compliance with Medicare and other payor guidelines.➤ Educating providers and staff on revenue cycle activities to ensure efficient processes are utilized to support billing.➤ Managing referrals, denials, and collection of co-payments from patients and troubleshooting any billing problems.➤ Ensuring compliance of clinic practices with hospital, Joint Commission, OSHA and other regulatory standards.➤ Communicates and implements Rutgers and Health System policies and procedures in the administrative offices.➤ Working closely with Patient Access, Information Technology, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Maintenance.➤ Ensuring the efficient processing of administrative paperwork and maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines.
