I started as a sales cadet at 17 and remember my first day vividly (which is honestly a miracle!) It was 2007 and the market was insane! The office was buzzing and we were signing contracts at all hours. We made a rule that a property couldn't be sold before the whole team had seen it, to give everyone a chance to bring buyers and get the owner the best price - it was manic and I loved it!Soon after that, the GFC happened. Now that was a teachable moment! The GFC taught me that sometimes a very hard conversation is the kindest choice. It taught me grit and resilience are absolutely *paramount*. It also taught me that for every winter there is a spring, and hard times will pass.Most recently, I’ve been leading a dedicated and passionate team who help agents engage with the clients in their database. Our goal is to build the relationship with clients on the agents' behalf, so they are trusted as the expert well in advance of even thinking of selling. We know that without the relationship being built, when the time comes to sell the client is met by a wall of suits, each offering what looks like the same thing! They are forced to make a choice based on commission or the agent who ‘buys the listing’ - or 20% referral commission grabbers (who are likely getting 20% of a sale that you had the client details for already!)I know it may seem odd to get fired up by ‘databasing’, but I honestly am. I know the numbers, and the numbers don’t lie! We’ve identified $19,239,650 worth of commissions for our clients over the last 18mths. Utilising your database will make sure those dollars go into your pocket rather than your competitors.I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge with principles and agents throughout Australia and New Zealand and have been honoured to conduct training with agents, and consult with principles and agents on how to take the luck of listings, and get in more doors.On a personal note, I am all about my family and love being in nature. I live on beautiful Bribie Island, QLD with my partner in crime, Doug, and our two babes, Daisy and Louis. We spend our free time at the beach collecting shells and driftwood, out on our tinny, camping, and jumping in any body of water. Thanks for connecting.
