Jewel Ballroom was a subsidiary of Carte Blanche Events. Jewel Ballroom was voted Top Choice for event venues in Vancouver in both 2014 & 2015. I managed banquets for a variety of different events and locations. I quickly and effectively adapted to new work environments and teams. My duties included leading set up/take down of events, managing all staff, and working with event planners. I also managed inventory and sales.

Applying my excellent hospitality skills at this level of tourism was an unforgettable experience. I was able to travel while doing my job. I looked after the guests in their environment and kept them happy while on-board a moving train for up to 14 hours per day. I provided first class passenger service for up to 70 guests per trip while also providing entertaining and educational information. Following a meticulous schedule of service was essential.
