I started working as the Director of Operations at Matriplasticos, one of the largest manufacturers of plastic flower planters and garden products in South America. Along with the task of learning Spanish at a business level, I was required to learn every aspect of the business and study how operationally, we could improve the success of the company. I replaced the entire ERP system, installed inventory systems, controls and streamlined many aspects of their day to day business by literally re-creating the entire ordering process. It was a fun process, but very challenging. I realized that having a good ERP system in place means nothing, if you don't have a secure infrastructure to build it on. I upgraded all the computers, moved them to a secure domain with active directory and group permissions. I setup department drives, shared folders and backups of all systems, everynight on multiple drives and devices. After all of this, realizing other international, multi-lingual needs of ours, I moved us to Google Business Apps, which is now running all of our email, calendars & chat which has a built in translation service. It was a huge success and we are no longer using Outlook in the office, and using the chat built into our email for all the staff. Finally, I replaced both our Argentina website and made it bi-lingual as well, launching our first ever USA website, where we are now growing and expanding our market share to.

While in Argentina David noticed there was a market for water bottles and wanted to do something about the amount of plastic Trash that was being thrown away daily due to single use bottles. H2Bottle was created in our factory and we product different shapes and sizes of recyclable bottles, so people can re-use their bottles over and over again, thus reducing the amount of trash daily. H2bottle not only was commited to reducing trash, but also wanted to give back. David put in place a donation program where for every bottle sold, H2Bottle donates $1 to a Non-Profit company in Latin America that helps with clean water for those that need it. H2bottle is growing fast and continuing to expand into new markets with new bottles and ideas.
