Research Scientist
Worked on developing quantum technologies at the AWS Centre for Quantum Computing.
Research Assistant: Experimental Quantum Information Processing (Devoret Lab)
Researched higher-order nonlinear effects in driven, dissipative superconducting qubits, as part of Michel Devoret's research group. Developed numerical Floquet simulations in Python (QuTiP) to characterize the role of dissipation on driven quantum nonlinear resonances and compared numerics to analytical and experimental results.
Research Assistant: Quantum Transduction And Quantum Information Science (Jiang Group)
Researched theoretical quantum transduction, continuous-variable quantum information, and bosonic mode control in multimode systems. Helped develop novel protocols to efficiently construct decoupling and swapping operations using interference between quantum transducers. Also developed extensive numerical simulations in Mathematica and Python.
Summer Research Assistant: Experimental Amo Physics (Moore Group)
Designed, prototyped, and tested a novel experimental setup for a tabletop levitated microspheres AMO (atomic, molecular and optical physics) experiment, under the guidance of Prof. David C. Moore. Levitated microspheres in an optical trap can be used as precision force sensors for dark matter detection and tests of charge neutrality. I built a mechanism for efficiently loading and unloading individual microspheres into an optical trap. I presented my results at the Yale Undergraduate Research Symposium and at the Greater Boston Physics Conference at MIT.

I helped diagnose and repair hardware- and software-related IT problems for members of the Yale community.
Physics Peer Tutor
Research Intern: Quantum Measurement Theory
Developed a numerical Monte Carlo simulation in C for quantum state tomography of a single qubit system, under the guidance of Prof. R. Vijayaraghavan (at the Quantum Measurement & Control Lab). Modeled weak-continuous and projective measurements and compared tomography fidelities under both schemes. Publication available on arXiv.
Research Intern: Complex Systems Modelling
Developed an agent-based mathematical model of swarming behavior in natural systems, under the guidance of Prof. Nagarjuna G. Within this framework, simulated the aggregate growth structure patterns of P. redivivus nematodes and compared simulation results to live lab cultures using videographic analysis. Presented to 100+ researchers and students at annual HBCSE research symposium.
