I worked on several translational research projects under the direction of Dr. Michael Ivan at the University of Miami Brain Tumor Initiative. My main research goals were to apply the works of data analytics and artificial intelligence with various neuropathologies to advance the care of people living with brain tumors.

I worked alongside a team of 5 Biomedical Engineers and Dr. Rabih Tawk to develop a novel vascular closure device for the carotid artery through a collaboration with Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineering Senior Capstone and Mayo Clinic. Winner of 2021 Alligator Tank Pitch CompetitionWinner of 2021 Walleye Tank Pitch CompetitionBest Overall Project Georgia.

Robomed Lab

- Designed and prototyped a novel fully 3D-printed soft robotic glove to help restore hand and finger mobility in patients with upper extremity neurological impairments- Performed experimentation on stroke and spinal cord injury patient subjects to measure the efficacy of the device2021 Barry Goldwater National Scholar2020 President's Undergraduate.

Introduction To General Chemistry - CHEM 1310

- Led and ran three virtual laboratory sections for over 70 students- Developed interpersonal skills through interactions with students assisting them with homework, lab reports, and hosting review sessions before exams- Facilitated collaboration between students during laboratory sections through interactive activities and assignments

Performed many hands-on tasks around the clinic from assisting with COVID-19 testing, COVID-19 vaccination clinics, triaging patients, as well as carrying out several quality improvement projects. Worked on a study examining the extent of vaccine resistance among disadvantaged communities in Miami Dade County.

The Miami Project To Cure Paralysis

I am designing and creating 3D-printed assistive devices for the purpose of increasing the quality of life and functional independence for people living with Spinal Cord Injury. Currently working to translate our work to an at-home setting to further improve the patient’s functional independence.

I worked alongside top individuals in the field of Biomedical Engineering to design and create a Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Clip which is currently being used in clinical trials on patients suffering from Atrial Fibrillation.

Sur Lab

I designed an EEG Headcap for marmosets currently in use for neuroscience experiments to gather information on how marmosets with Rett syndrome and autism behave differently than marmosets without these disabilities.
