As a Period Fellow-I had to facilitate sessions in school on Menstruation. I also worked closely in communities and Community Resource Person. In my fellowship I did a secondary research project on study of menstrual practices in public and private toilet spaces and also worked with a school on Pune along with girls, boys and teachers to reduce the stigma around Menstruation through activities, sessions and trainingThe Period Fellowship was a journey of self discovery. It made me realize the values I follow, made me understand the importance of education on Menstruation and menstrual hygiene. It helped me understand whatever the situation is how important it is to have conversations with empathy and respect.I learnt that work is completed smoothly if it is being planned and scheduled for each day and week in advance. Another learning is that I understood the difference in my role when I work in cohort, my role as individual fellow.
