Shradha Agarwal has a lifelong passion for building organizations to connect people and information, as well as align profit and purpose, having started her first business at age nine. In 2006, Shradha co-founded ContextMedia, a healthcare education company that informs and empowers millions of patients nationwide. Her commitment to building an inclusive culture where people belong, matter and grow earned the startup numerous awards and recognitions as a great place to work. A strong believer in entrepreneurialism, Shradha remains dedicated to developing and strengthening innovation ecosystems locally and globally as an investor, mentor and international speaker. Jumpstart Ventures, her venture fund, has invested in more than 40 early- and growth-stage companies in the U.S. and in India over the nearly 8 years since its inception. She has been invited to address audiences around the world - from Bogota to Cannes, Madrid to Moscow, Mumbai, Hangzhou and Mexico City - on the topics of founding a mission-based company, building a diverse and empowering culture, growth strategy for scaling impact, female leadership and equity in the workplace as well as healthcare trends in innovation. Shradha mentors entrepreneurs at Techstars, Impact Engine & Chicago Ventures, but is equally invested in the venture philanthropy model for scaling nonprofit solutions through The Chicago Public Education Fund. She also serves on the boards of OneGoal and Chicago Children’s Choir and spiritedly supports youth education, women leadership, and civic engagement. Shradha has been recognized as a Champion of Change by the White House and awarded the Prominent Woman in Tech by the Illinois Technology Association. She enjoys traveling adventurously and exploring cultures, food and music.
