As Catalyst Award director, I foster collective and individual impact among Catalyst awardees and members and create grant programs grounded in justice and equity.

As Senior Outreach Coordinator, I support the growth and development of the UCS Science Network (an inclusive community of 26,000 scientists, engineers, economists, public health specialists, and other experts working nationwide to educate the public and inform decisions critical to our health, safety, and environment). In addition, I support the integration of Science Network activities and goals in UCS programs; promote efforts to diversify the network; cultivate leadership within the Science Network; and expand the ways that network members can publicly engage through UCS.

As the Science Network Outreach coordinator, I strengthen the mobilization and cultivation of Science Network members as well as diversify the ways in which scientists can engage on issues they care about. In addition to developing training and engagement opportunities uniquely tailored to early career scientists, I also work to integrate expert engagement throughout the Climate & Clean Vehicles programs at UCS.

The National Fetal & Infant Mortality Review (NFIMR) program is collaborative effort between the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). NFIMR is a resource center for the 200 FIMR programs nationwide. The NFIMR resource center provides online resources that provide technical assistance in many aspects of developing and carrying out a FIMR program. As Program Specialist, I helped provide technical assistance and training to state FIMR program as well as general administrative support for the Center. I managed the Center’s FIMR web site, including updating postings on a monthly basis, updated FIMR materials and bibliographies and managed the monthly FIMR listserv. I also assisted with management of and logistical arrangements for all FIMR training and workshops, including the national conference.

As Program Manager at AAP NJ, I was responsible for training coordination and conference planning around two main issues; breastfeeding and child abuse & neglect prevention. For these programs, I developed materials for outreach and development. For the Child Abuse & Neglect Program, I worked on maintaining our database and spreadsheets of various grantees & programs. For NJ Baby-Friendly Initiative, I helped organize a state wide summit bringing together over 50 maternity hospitals in New Jersey. In addition, I helped monitor program budgets and edited reports & presentations as needed.
