My passion for improving healthcare infrastructure and empowering individuals to lead healthier lives motivates me to become a physician who leverages medical expertise to build sustainable healthcare systems.In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also the founder and a CPR instructor at Global CPR Training, a non-profit initiative that empowers communities worldwide with emergency preparedness skills. Through this initiative, I have trained and equipped around 1000 people across various regions, including rural health clinics in Guatemala, where I expanded my global perspective and understanding of health equity.As I continue my journey through medical school, I am looking for ways to leave a lasting legacy in medicine and the world.

Undergraduate Research Assistant (Global Cpr Training)Texas Public Health Association Official Nov 2022 - May 2023This research project focused on the efficacy of a new CPR education intervention. After creating our “IMPACT” curriculum in Global CPR, our team determined the class's pre-test and post-test scores while also considering previous CPR experience. I participated in data collection, taught the class, and analyzed the data, which found significant increases in CPR skills for all groups. Our team presented our findings at the 99th Annual Texas Public Health Association Conference in San Antonio, TX, on May 23rd, 2023. The format was a 10-minute presentation on health education with questions at the end. Participating at the conference allowed us to share our research findings and engage with experts in the field, receiving their feedback and fostering meaningful discussions on health education’s role in addressing public health challenges. -

PresidentTexas Covid Connect Dec 2020 - Aug 2021After my family and I contracted COVID in Nov. 2020, I started TXCC to help families build better infrastructure at home for a possible COVID infection. I built the organization from the ground up, planning and implementing virtual seminars, creating an adopt a senior program, and delivering carekits, all while learning ways to motivate my team in a virtual format. We dispersed COVID information to 2000 people and gave carekits of food, water, and medical equipment to over 300 under-resourced persons in rural and urban areas all across Texas. TXCC became the blueprint for my future initiatives and highlighted the importance of having a “proactive, not reactive” mindset. -
