Project Head, India
As the Project Head, I developed a microfinance Dairy Farming business in rural India in liaison with the Community Based Health Project (CBHP) India to generate approximately $4,500 per annum to facilitate CBHP’s medical clinic in achieving financial sustainability. The underlying idea of the project is to sell milk and milk products to the nearby schools, colleges, hostels and the local milk cooperative to raise funds for the medical clinic. Carried out cost-benefit analysis and revenue analysis for the Dairy Farming Business to find the break-even point of the business. As per the calculations, at the current rate of milk prices and amount of milk produced, it will take five years to break even with the initial investment of $17,500. Planned a commercial volunteer program for CBHP India to host University of Melbourne volunteers interested in gaining work experience in farming, teaching and healthcare. The program has generated a total revenue of $22,500 in the last two years to cover CBHP India’s operating costs. The revenue generated from the program was also used as seed capital for the Dairy Farming Business. Wrote a Funds Proposal for ITC Limited, to raise $6,000 for the Dairy Farming Business.
