    Researched the existing system to find physical parameters that were affecting the illumination profile and introduced noise to the output. Came up with various concepts/ideas that could help improve the final output and validated them with rigorous simulations in Zeemax/Ricktu. Designed the testing setup with 3D printed jigs/fixtures, supporting electronics, optical components, light sources and image-capturing devices. Controlled the LEDs using Arduino, captured the images and processed them using Python to compare the simulated and experimental data. Image stitching and background subtraction were the final two ways that improved the SNR by 40‑50%
