As a leader of the Economic Development team, Shri has developed a number of economic development strategies that has set the direction for the Calgary Region in business retention, expansion and new investment attraction. Shri worked in collaboration with 15 member municipalities (including the City of Calgary) in developing and implementing strategies and projects to promote the Calgary Region to national and international investors. Worked closely with and reported to over 100 elected officials in municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government.

Provided one-on-one business advisory and client service support to entrepreneurs who were starting, expanding or acquiring a business. Evaluated business plans for market and financial viability and facilitated self employment classroom and online training. Assisted in business plan development and lending. Managed various community development projects, staff, and budgets. Assisted adult entrepreneurs in the development of their small businesses through business counseling and lending.
