I am a landscape architect and environmental planner with a passion for biodiversity restoration and nature-based solutions. In the last 7+ years, I have designed and implemented solutions for nature restoration, climate mitigation and improvement of socio-ecological systems.With my systemic approach, I am able to holistically visualize socio-ecological and habitat systems together, consider several stakeholder perspectives and work with ecologists & researchers to design strategies for restoration.Currently, I am involved in a Research to Business idea that involves developing a framework for impact assessment on biodiversity and a toolkit for ecological restoration along with compensation. My work aims to simplify legislative compliances, create transparency in biodiversity reporting and allow organizations to truly achieve biodiversity net gain.Previous work: Project design and execution: Ecosystem restoration and biodiversity Net gain for wet deciduous mixed forest, Mitigation methods for restoration of an abandoned basalt quarry, restoration of watershed at a landfill site, development of a biodiversity hotspot around a few educational institutions. Key skill utilized: researched-backed site analysis and solution proposal. Overall I have 12+ years of experience that ranges across designing, managing projects, people management and coordination.Management Skills: scoping and conceptualisation, proposal writing, design, financing, negotiation, project implementation, activity prioritisation, monitoring, reporting, risk management, reflexive learning, and communication.Software Skills: I am proficient in using design & planning software like AutoCAD, mapping software like ArcGIS, and presentation and reporting software.
