Devoting my efforts to a pivotal three-month internship at MNIT Jaipur, I focused on applying modern deep learning techniques to enhance medical image analysis. My work centered around improving the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosing oral cancer by leveraging state-of-the-art methods such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), vision transformers (ViTs), and advanced attention mechanisms.A key aspect of my role was the meticulous curation and analysis of a new dataset of histopathological images. I implemented various CNN and ViT models, incorporating techniques like Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) blocks to enhance model performance. My comparative analyses of these models were crucial in identifying the most effective approaches for accurate classification.By collaborating with experts and applying cutting-edge techniques, I contributed to developing advanced diagnostic tools that can significantly improve the diagnostic process. This experience was instrumental in advancing the integration of deep learning methodologies into medical imaging, ultimately aiming to support more accurate and efficient diagnoses.
