I am currently Head the Digital Product Development & Engineering, MAHINDRA IT, MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA part of $18bn Mahindra Group. I am responsible for PDIT across Mahindra & Mahindra in the technology areas of CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, Knowledge Based Engineering, Digital Manufacturing, Engineering Analytics, Virtual Reality, global collaboration and integrations. Key functions covered in the current scope are Auto sector, Farm Equipment sector, Trucks & Buses, Two-Wheeler business, Electrical Vehicles, Construction Equipment Division, North America Technical Center and other Mahindra R&D locations with respect to Product Development IT.Before joining Mahindra, I was part of TATA group and did major projects with Ferrari, GM, Chrysler, JLR and Tata Motors in the area of Engineering IT and Enterprise IT. I have established PDIT from scratch, set-up teams, systems, technology and operations, led teams, substantially scaled each major account in terms of revenue and headcount; and turned around accounts to profitability.23years of Information Technology business and P&L leadership with key IT services accounts, product development digital transformation across the multiple Auto global OEMs in APAC, EU & NA and US state agencies.

Last one year was different and a brief is note is below:After involving many successful global projects and customer managements, it is a fulltime domestic (that too in my hometown) a green field IT assignment for TATA Motors at Dharwad. The challenges and opportunities were different like evaluate, size, order and implement the complete IT infrastructures. This includes server sizing, network items both active and passive components, data backup facilities, infrastructure for MES activities etc..To manage multiple large IT service providers for support services with stringent SLAs.To support corporate level strategic IT initiative of major transition from one service provider to another. Also includes many deployments of major IT applications for Dharwad location.The team and management support is excellent and more exciting activities expected during coming days.
