I am an Experimental Physicist interested in the physics of strongly correlated electron systems. My work primarily includes the synthesis of multifunctional materials using solid-state methods and their characterization via methods like x-ray/neutron powder diffraction, FESEM/EDS, ac/dc magnetometry (susceptibility measurements using SQUID-VSM/MPMS), electronic and thermal transport measurements (PPMS, LFA and LSR), and dielectric spectroscopy. I am proficient in cryogenic instrumentation and building sensitive measurement setups for low-noise data acquisition with interfacing through LabVIEW. I thoroughly enjoy picking up new software skills that help with data analysis and visualization and working in teams. I am especially interested in understanding critical phenomena occurring at phase transitions and the physics of unconventional ground states in quantum materials and am keen to design and develop novel experiments to this end. My skills include troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, data analysis, and science communication. I am looking to expand my work experience and am also positively considering research and development jobs outside academia and in science journalism.
