It is also approved on the Montgomery County volunteer website as an eligible volunteer organization.- Advocated and testified for SB124, a bill inspired by my compost program model, which was funded to give $250,000 for schools across Maryland to start their own programs. - Led a postcard campaign that garnered the support of 17,000 Marylanders in support of funding this bill. - Conceptualized the first Food Recovery program in Montgomery County Public Schools which later became mandated to run in all county schools. -Partnered with local grocery stores and bakeries to recover food and redistribute it to homeless shelters.
