Carrying out the following job responsibilities. • Ensure regulatory compliance working with GLP and GMP environment.• Perform a wide range of tests including but not limited to Total dietary fiber, Crude Fiber, Fat Test and Gas Chromatography.• Record data on computer following standard operating methods.• Stringently follow lab protocols, sanitation standards and testing procedures.• Conduct laboratory evaluation of samples.• Support insuring testing to be in compliance with schedules.

• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of given samples to deduce the chemical composition, nature and reactive tendencies of the given components.• Conduct tests as per BIS, ASTM, AOAC or other relevant standards.• Ensure compliance of the work with the principles, standards, procedures, and safety measures set by the regulatory body.• Prepare all necessary solutions, reagents, chemicals and calibration and confirm the standards.• Develop analytical techniques that reduce time and achieve superior results and thus enhance testing methodology

• Carried out SYNTHESIS OF COUMARINS VIA PERKIN-TYPE CONDENSATION USING T3P.• Interpret the research findings and draw conclusions, based on research reports.• Carried out analytical methods of dissolution, distillation, filtration and gravimetry to ensure a thorough analysis of the samples.Coumarin is a fragrant chemical compound found in many plants, notably in vanilla grass, sweet grass, sweet clover. When ingested coumarin acts as a blood thinner and it also appears to be effective in treating some tumors. Coumarin has fungicidal properties as well. Some traditional foods are made with plants which contain coumarin.T3P (Propane Phosphonic Acid Anhydride) is an ideal coupling agent, delivering outstanding performance at moderate costs with low toxicity and easy workup. It gives purified product with high yield. During the project I learnt basic laboratory techniques like setting of the reaction, safe handling different hazardous chemical reagents, TLC technique purification method like column chromatography and crystallization and characterization of synthesized molecule by using modern techniques like UV, HPLC.
