I had to build a forecasting model that would predict Extra Stops weekly till the end of 2021.This project aimed at building a forecasting model that will predict Extra Stops on a weekly basis for 2021 and 2022. It will give Amazon visibility into expected improvements or degradation in future Extra Stops, and will no longer limit them into making retrospective callouts on these metrics. Having a better understanding of the causes of Extra Stops will help them take action to reduce and/or prevent them, resulting in considerable savings in delivery costs.To achieve this, a linear regression was built leveraging data on metrics (before and after the SLAM stage) and a pipeline was built by leveraging various AWS services.This was the course of action I took to achieve the stated goal:- Read all documentation carefully to understand the problem statement- Identified the factors (metrics) which can be used as input for the model- Conducted a correlation analysis between factors and Extra Stops- Built a baseline NAÏVE and SARIMA and Linear Regression model and compared them both to select the one with the best accuracy.- Completed model testing and deployment
