I am the technical leader responsible for the entire Seller Wallet organization, which is a critical and strategic business unit for Amazon Payments org. In my role, I manage a software development team of 30+ reports across 3 sub-teams. I manage strategic technical vision and 3-year plan for Seller Wallet, as well as driving the execution of the operational roadmap, building a scalable organization, and developing technical leaders. A key aspect of the role is managing the extensive compliance and regulatory requirements for Seller Wallet, as it is a regulated financial product. This includes overseeing complex KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, investigator tooling, suspicious activity monitoring, and denied party list screening. Navigating these compliance challenges and scaling them for international expansion is a major source of complexity. I lead the technical delivery of new strategic initiatives like 3rd Party Payments requiring me to guide my team through uncharted territory. I also manage a web of internal and external partnerships to execute such initiatives.

I led one of the three software development teams involved in launching Amazon's Seller Wallet product. My team of nine engineers owned the creation of the Seller Wallet Portal, integration with internal systems to orchestrate payments, manage Seller Wallet balance, and display transactions and reports to sellers. During this time, I constantly represented the my team in leadership reviews, establishing myself as the primary point of contact. I worked closely with PMs and TPMs to prioritize must-have features and deliver the minimum viable product as soon as possible. I also worked on growing my team by promoting engineers, as well as helping them do role transitions such as Quality Assurance Engineer to TPM. Lastly I owned 20+ pipelines all of which were fully continuous delivery (CD), with a trailing 30-day P90 of less than 5 days since the last merge and pipeline blockage time under 3 days. My team's automated test coverage averaged 70%, and I drove a reduction in the pipeline production deployment P90 from 22 days to 13 days, thus maintaining a high bar on operational excellence.

In this role, I managed a group of high performing individuals, together with whom I lead large cross-organizational projects and initiatives for Amazon's North America Payment Products team. Along with my team, I was responsible for defining the technical roadmap for Amazon's Co-brand credit cards in the US and Canada, it's Private label credit card, as well as our Shop With Points program globally. In this role, I've hired and developed the best TPM talent in the industry, by continuously mentoring them, providing them with the right opportunities and helping them identify their strengths and growth areas.

I managed the launch of Amazon's Currency Conversion capability for seller's (ACCS) in Turkey and UAE, which enabled cross-border disbursements from Amazon's Turkey and UAE Marketplace, i.e., sellers on the Turkey marketplace or UAE marketplace could now receive TRY or AED sales proceeds into 21 currencies supported by Amazon's Currency Conversion product. This was a strategic initiative by Amazon, which helped expand Amazon's seller base by making it easier for sellers across the globe to sell in these marketplaces and yet have payments disbursed in their local currency.With Amazon working in Services Oriented Architecture (SOA), and the ACCS product using more than 15 different services across Amazon, I played the role of bridging the gap between all the service owners. This project was complex because it needed me to understand SLAs for all these services and build a plan where I had aligned the schedules of all these dependent services.

As the TPM for the North America Credit Cards, I managed parts of the Amazon's Visa Signature Prime Credit Card as well as the Amazon's Secured Card program. I managed risks and stakeholders for program delivery, along with ownership of processes such as resource allocation, roadmap reviews and escalation mechanisms to help keep the program on track for our annual goals. I worked as a bridge between cross functional teams of SDEs, PMs, data engineers, banking partners, and marketers. I helped deliver projects such as Prime Card Bonus, by creating technical artifacts such as launch plans, operational readiness plans and program samurai review documents.
