After completing my Fellowship with Teach For India (TFI), I joined the TFI Delhi City Operations team as a Program Manager to drive the Teach For India vision and mission across 35 classrooms in Delhi's EDMC, NDMC, and SDMC schools. Together as part of the global Teach for All network that exists in 60 countries, we strongly believe that every child can and must attain an excellent education.The TFI Fellowship gave me a chance to serve as a full-time teacher in a government school run by the municipal corporation of Delhi, in the low-income community of Mandawali, Delhi. During my tenure as a Fellow, I taught 40 2nd and 3rd graders, and co-founded Khwaab Welfare Trust with Pooja Chopra. Through this experience of teaching in a classroom and working with key education stakeholders like students, principals, teachers, and parents, I got exposed to the grassroots realities of India’s primary education system and began to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to build a career in India's development space.
