As a Research Scientist at Unilever, I focus on transforming innovative concepts into tangible products. I also got the chance to explore other verticals such as advanced coatings, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and chemical formulations. Before that, I worked with Myntra Innovation Labs, where I got a chance to combine academic research with industry-level deliverables. I worked on multiple opportunities in the smart, advanced wearable field, with focus on energy harvesting smart shoes and flexible solar cells. Taking end-to-end responsibility, I single handedly established collaborations with research labs and suppliers to carry out practical research and develop prototypes.I have a Master's in Nanotechnology from University of Pennsylvania, USA and Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT BHU. My academics gave me a multidisciplinary foundation in the technical and business aspects of advanced topics such as nanotechnology, microfabrication, energy generation & conversion, advanced materials, processing techniques, innovation, and entrepreneurship.     Developed and researched the technology for thermoregulatory textiles: it works by regulating the dynamic temperature fluctuations faced daily by an Indian consumer, thus making the wearer more comfortable by modulating the body microclimate upto 2°C. This work was performed in collaboration with Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), Manchester University and IIT Bombay-Monash Research Academy. Researched the technology of graphene and graphene oxide based encapsulation along with Phase Change Materials for better heat distribution profile.Completed a week long workshop on Textile Engineering organised by the Department of Textile Technology, IIT Delhi. Covered the basics related to textile engineering and manufacturing, starting from procurement of fibers to manufacturing processes and techniques for finished textiles.Worked closely with the team to develop several smart textile technologies, including anti-germ, antiviral and energy recovery.
