Built Finsight, a SaaS that utilizes churn, conversion, and propensity machine learning models to increase and retain credit unions’ member base.

Leading Freestyle Discovery and Core Representation Learning teams in the Styling Algorithms organization. Styling Algorithms is the company’s highest leverage org, controlling the flow of apparel for $2B+ in annual sales.- Founded a team to develop a new strategic initiative that expands business’ data moat: personalized apparel search.- Collaborated with business leaders to design highly-performant algorithm systems and impactful network effects – modeling client behavior to onboard them and help them find apparel they love.In interim Director of Product Role: - Defined and drove the product strategy, business vision, and launch for the high-growth and innovative Freestyle products: personalized apparel shopping and discovery.- Led a 50+ person cross-functional organization consisting of (Product, Merch, Algorithms, Eng, Marketing, etc.) to develop and launch a new Shop by Category product experience. It represents 40% of offering revenue and enables discovery through apparel assortment for clients.

- Developed and launched Freestyle’s first apparel recommendation algorithms, leading to 10% increase in annual Freestyle revenue.- Led team of 10 senior/staff data scientists to enable real-time and interactive personalization of the Freestyle product offering and onboarding.

- Led a senior engineering team to develop a platform that auto-refreshes ML models based on performance. Reduced retraining resources for models by 90%.- Democratized ML to other internal organizations by leading senior engineering team to develop an ML feature store. With 1000+ validated features, the store increased the number of ML projects and reduced model development time.- Deployed SurveyMonkey Genius and WordCloud NLP models via REST API service. Increased feature revenue by 18% and annual upgrades by 44%.

- Led development for Author Intelligence, a new AI media contact platform to allow companies to easily find new & relevant journalists and reach out to them. On-boarded six customers to the product.- Worked with VP of Product and CTO to analyze and deploy a machine learning pipeline that enabled 60% of customer base to determine their marketing ROI from direct and indirect website traffic.- Created a custom analytics integration by collaborating with sales and customer operations, allowingOnclusive to serve three new industry-leading customers.

- Defined the marketing strategy, conducted market share analysis, and launched the MR30H, a wireless access point. The MR30H led several hotels and colleges to join the customer base.- Developed FIPS compliance analysis and processes for Meraki's entire product line, allowing Meraki to service state and federal government organizations.

Worked on multiple full-stack features for Advisor Sites, Hearsay's new web program for Insurance Advisors. Pushed out the alpha product to three new customers with a Django, Backbone, and MySql stack.

Started Caltech's first hackathon. Raised 250K in sponsorship money and managed 40+ sponsors to make Hacktech 2014 the largest hackathon on the West Coast. Sponsors included Microsoft, Amazon, eBay, Pebble, SendGrid, and Twilio.

Optimized cell tower placement by developing novel ML algorithms (with Apache Spark) using geospatial iPhone wireless data.

Conducted a variety of data mining, visualization, and analytics projects with Deep Space telemetry information from NASA and JPL using D3, ArborJS, iPython, AWS, and others.
