Determined the 6.9 Å cryo-EM structure of the Drosophila apoptosome and built a psedo-atomic model, which revealed apoptosome assembly mechanism and evolution path. Studied downstream initiator caspase activation mechanism using in vitro biochemical system with purified protein components.
