Only former Mayor of Bowie Gary Allen endorsed the candidate. Raised $66,000 and spent only about $22,000 in the campaign. Returned the remaining $44,000 to donors. Assisted Edward Burroughs and David Murray in their respective races for school board concurrently. About 1600 voters voted for only one candidate in this 2 Delegate District (called bullet voting). Too many candidates, bullet voting and low voter turnout resulted in Geraldine and Jim's win.
