Hailing from the Detroit Suburbs, I went on to Hail the Victors at the University ofMichigan, where I received a degree from the Ross School of Business. In my earlycareer, I struggled within the confines of a cubicle working jobs in commercial bankingand specialty insurance wholesaling. Escaping the doldrums of TPS reports, I entered theexciting world of start-ups and emerging technology where I have worked on exciting projectslike beer festivals and a four-foot-tall humanoid robot named Pepper.After watching my mom struggle as a long-distance caregiver for parents that weresuffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia, I became interested intechnology at the intersection of aging, health, and technology and I joined Intuition Robotics to helpcommercialize ElliQ, a social companion device designed specifically for older adults tohelp them live a more active, engaged, and connected life.After four and a half exciting years of bringing ElliQ to market, I started Purple Hatz, astrategic consultancy, where I have the opportunity to help a diverse portfolio of “Age Tech”companies. I also volunteer as a Mentor for the Techstars Future of LongevityAccelerator (where I was voted an "All-Star Mentor") and as a Community Leader for Age Tech Atlanta.I am passionate about building a better world for all of us to age into!
