Dr. Haya Schulmann is a full professor for computer science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main and holds a LOEWE Excellence Professorship. She is also the head of the Analytics Based Cybersecurity research area in ATHENE, the German National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity and is a representative for Goethe-Universität Frankfurt in ATHENE Board. She established and was the head of Cybersecurity Analytics and Defences department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT. She also co-established and was a Scientific co-Leader of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Cybersecurity at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Prof. Schulmann founded and is the head of the German-Israeli Partnership Accelerator program in Darmstadt and Jerusalem.Haya Schulmann is an associate editor of ACM Computing Surveys and she is also on the Editorial Board of ACM Transactions on Privacy and Security (TOPS) journal. She was a chair of the flagship European security conference ESORICS 2021, she chaired the Cryptography and Network Security Conference CANS 2020, she is currently a chair of the ACM Conference on Data and Application Security and Privacy CODASPY 2024 and the international Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security. Schulmann is also in the program committees of leading security conferences.She obtained her PhD in Computer Science in 2014. Her research focuses on the applied aspects of cybersecurity. Prof. Schulmann received various awards for her work, including the German IT Sicherheitspreis of the Horst Goertz Foundation in 2021, and the IETF/IRTF Applied Networking Research Award in 2015. In 2011 and 2013 she received Checkpoint Institute for Information Security (CPIIS) awards, in 2013 she received the Feder prize for her research in communication technologies and in 2013 and 2014 she received ICANN research fellowships.She has long experience in industry, working in research and development. In addition to her research in academia, she leads projects with industry, public sector and security agencies.
