Estimator | Energy Storage / Innovation & DevelopmentBlattner 2020 - 2022Avon, Minnesota, UsI led the establishment of Blattner's systematic estimation of BESS facilities, including the development of business processes and training of estimators to expand Blattner's BESS capabilities, as well as the development of our growing team, expertise, and processes out of the innovation and development phase and into the established operations, standards, and quality of Blattner's Solar and Wind projects.I managed estimates for Energy Storage System projects, with a focus on utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems, including Solar and Wind-attached BESS as well as standalone BESS on renewable energy projects nationwide.I both conducted and oversaw estimates through the project preconstruction lifecycle, from indicative, budgetary, and firm bids through project award and contracting, bidding and securing BESS facilities exceeding 500 megawatt-hours in energy capacity.I worked remotely as part of a hybrid remote and in-office team with an Agile workflow, while also collaborating with other in-office teams including Engineering, Solar and Wind Estimating, and Legal groups as well as external vendors and subcontractors to drive complex projects within tight schedules.
