Shunil was a Partner and Practice Manager within Thinking Ahead. He led a practice whose searches focused on candidates within the Federal Government Contracting Community, primarily involving the Intelligence Community, DoD and Civilian Sector. Shunil and his team were heavily connected at all levels, within one of the more challenging search markets the CI and Full-Scope Community. His firm and practice operated within a "true" search firm model. He and his team did not rely on ads, databases or the internet to find candidates. The majority of candidates that he and his team placed were people who are not looking for a job, but made a move because they were presented a better opportunity. He found these candidates through networking, referrals and cold calls. His primary area of geographical concentration was the DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland area, though he has placed candidates nationwide. Shunil's clients ranged from small specialized companies to large systems integrators. His expertise was understanding the various government customers and their culture, keeping tight connections within the community and leveraging this information to perform custom searches. Met with senior leadership (VP, CFO) within the financial arm of our clients to grow business, dealt with problems and issues and manged the full process.
